About Godivaworld Travels

Who is Godivaworld Travels?

Just a gal of a particular age (I would check the 34 – 49 box on a survey lol), based in Atlanta but certain that will change in the near future!!  Professionally, I am a Senior Management Consultant for a Consulting Firm based in the southeast but working with clients across the country.  I have several passions and pursuits that I am engaged in and find myself most at peace when I am stimulating my mind (read:  does not like idle chatter, non-value add interactions).

How’d I get here?

Growing up a military brat may have been the fire that was lit within me to explore the world, one adventure at a time.  Or perhaps it is just my appreciation of life and all of its glory!  No matter the reason, travel has been a major part of my life both as a youth and now well into my adulthood (see my Wanderlust Past)!

I’ve traveled for business, for leisure and just because.  I’ve even been a contributing editor of a travel magazine as my way of sharing my experiences with others.   It is my passion, it is my purpose and so I travel.  I hope that by sharing my experiences and journeys with you that you, too will go somewhere new or at best go somewhere, anywhere and perhaps do something you’ve always wanted to.

I am often asked about my choice of destinations as well as the ins/outs of my travel as if it’s a secret society.  See, the only difference between those inquiring and myself is that I make no excuses for NOT traveling (or anything else for that matter) and throw everything at opportunities to explore the world.  I recognized early on the value in creating memorable experiences gained by pushing yourself completely out of your comfort zone.  Since that time, I’ve made every effort to explore new destinations and even retrace my steps to notso foreign stomping grounds.

Even with a full time career, a family, and numerous interests, passions, and pursuits if I’ve learned nothing in this life of mine I’ve learned that we truly make time for things that matter to us…..and so I make time to research, to dream, and to embark on various journeys for no other reason than to satisfy my inner being.  Exploring the world is critical to my very being as it is when/where I am my most authentic, organic, and free self.  You should try it and see what it can and will do for your inner being!

I travel.

…to see the world.

…to make memories.

…to experience living/for life experiences.

…for the unknown.

…to learn something new

…to live outside my box.

…to ignite my inner being.

…so that my dreams can have a voice!

I haven’t been everywhere but it is on my life list so please follow me on my journey!

Happy Travels!

  6. I can feel your passion for travel in your words. I, too, have traveled a lot (over 30 countries on 5 continents) and have lived in several different cultures. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, it is a true education and expands our perspective of people and living. Thanks for the follow; I am looking forward to checking out some of your posts.

    1. It is most certainly my passion and life’s purpose Annette so thank you for even picking that up and commenting on it. I often wonder what people will think or feel or gather from my posts and whether they can FEEL the energy I feel through my keystrokes. Thanks for visiting and for taking time to comment!
